| MrRobinson.com was
originally born out of necessity during a student
teaching internship at Florida
State University School in Tallahassee, Florida. The
desire for a site that included students' pictures and work,
assignments, links, and could serve as a means of communication
(especially with the world's greatest 3rd period
Algebra 2 class that could
have ever existed) motivated me to learn about web design.
The site's name change occurred once another degree was earned,
and the result is a work in progress... DrRobinson.com.
Matthew C. Robinson, PhD, is originally from Tampa,
Florida and now lives in Tallahassee, Florida. He is a
product of the Hillsborough County Public School system (not to
mention two wonderful parents) and began his career in education
teaching his little sister. Professionally, he first
taught 7th grade math to middle schoolers at Florida State
University School in Tallahassee, Florida, and also went on to
teach high school students at FSUS.
Dr. Robinson teaches Mathematics Education
courses at his alma mater, Florida State University,
where he earned his Bachelors, Masters, and Doctor of Philosophy
degrees in Mathematics
Education.
Currently, Dr. Robinson is teaching mathematics
full time at Tallahassee Community
College in the Division of Academic Support.
An avid runner, a gourmet cook, and a chocolate
enthusiast, Dr. Robinson desires to enable students to learn
more about math, to learn more about school, and to learn more
about themselves.
